What are Essential Oils

 Essential oils are naturally occurring, aromatic compounds found in  the seeds, bark, stems, roots, flowers and other parts of the plants.  Essential oils give plants their distinctive aroma, play a role in  pollination, and are the plants' natural defense mechanism. Essential  oils have been used throughout history in many cultures for their  medicinal and therapeutic benefits, from ancient Egyptian times to now.  In their pure form, they are 50-70 times more powerful than herbs.

As they are highly potent, a little goes a long way (usually one or  two drops per application), and they are a safe, effective, affordable  alternative to many synthetic products/remedies.
